Hi 2 Degrees - don't you hate it when someone steals your data?

Slingshot do 100gb entry plans with rollover, and their home phones are cheaper then yours too. Do you think you will match them? Otherwise I'll have to view with my feet when my plan expires...

Your new adds knocking the other telcos for not doing rollover is pretty hypocritical if you don't do it yourself for broadband.

Plus I see 1Gb connections are now available in some towns. You gonna get on board with that too without excessive upgrade costs?

Cheers,

A currently happy customer who sees the very green grass on the other side of the fence

1) You get what you pay for.
2) 100gb at 1gbit is just silly...

When I was with Slingshot I found their support impossible to deal with.  I had a problem they would not fix and it so degraded what I used my Internet for that I left before the end of my contract.  It took me two months to actually get a manager to talk to me after I left so that I could invoke the CGA and not pay them the fee for the early termination of the contract - they kept on sending bills with the threat of sending it to debt collection, but would not actually talk to me about it.  I would never go back to them again, and I would recommend that you steer clear of them also.

Lots of providers are doing 100GB now.  2 degrees spend a lot of money advertising that other providers steal their data, when they do the same with their broadband plans.

Just silly? huh?  In Dunedin, Tauranga and Hamilton (plus others) you can get unlimited 1gbit for $99 per month: http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumId=49&topicId=201452.

I just thought 2 degrees better be on notice that they are not the most attractive option in town...

The 1Gbit (residential) offering (a la Gigatown) isn't available everywhere yet. They can't offer a product that isn't available.

Hi sxz,

Data caps/limits work a bit differently on Broadband, if you are worried about your data, you have the option switch to Unlimited.

Regarding 1Gbps in those fibre zones, we don't have any news just yet, but we'll be sure to let you know when we do. Worthy of note is that it's not available through wholesalers until October.

Thanks,

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

They don't have to work a bit differently - slingshot do carryover.
