When 2d reduced the 1000/500 plans to 900/400 were there any notifications given? I don't recall seeing anything. The last message I received from them was saying that they were going to start charging for using a credit card.

I only found out when I was looking to see why my bill was $40 more expensive than usual.

They won't have changed the service, they have changed the numbers that they advertise. The service is unchanged. It hasn't been reduced. It's the same. Unchanged. Only the advertising and marketing claims will have changed. The underlying network will be unaltered.

Nothing changed to do with the service or the speed that you get with 2degrees, or infact any provider that delivers Gigabit fibre.

The Commerce Commission simply told providers they couldn't advertise Gigabit speeds (or anything that inferred Gigabit) so they could no longer advertise 1000Mbps.

You're not in Dunedin at all are you? I would assume everybody has put pricing up down recently since the 2 year Gigatown promo has finished.

I think they have until February next year, but I could be wrong.

I suspect they got sick of people calling and complaining they are only getting 900Mbp/s down and demanding I am paying for 1Gbp/s so I want my 1Gbp/s and faults getting logged for no reason
