Just something to look out for with the new 2D plans. A while back 2D launched a range of plans that included landline number, they are now promoting to users of those plans to move to new plans, recommending the plan you should move too.

The new plans, while they include a lot more data, don’t include the landline number, and you occur an additional $20 charge for this.

Purpose of this is to hopefully prevent others having to spend four days to get this information out of 2Degrees.

Cheers

It could be worth going onto a new plan and porting the landline number to 2talk and using a SIP client on the phone.

I don't think that's right. My wife is on 2degrees (obviously!) and gets her landline number free. And I don't think that's a staff discount.

Only got what the CSRs finally decided after 4 days to go on really.

Kind of seems weird to be pushing new plans on people that don’t meet the requirements the customer is currently using..

Who knows..

That said, if you can confirm if I was to change from the $69 plan to the $70 plan, and it retains the landline number at no cost, I would do it in a flash.

The details of PostPay plan charges outside what happens in the IN is not my department, but @2DegreesCare or I can find out. That said, my wife is on the $70 plan and I just double checked her last bill. It shows a $20 charge and a $20 credit for landline number, which is the standard way our marketing people use to show you that you got free stuff.

Not conclusive, but I’ll find out.

EDIT: looks like she might just be lucky. Here it seems to suggest she should be paying $20.

Likewise. We are currently on the $69.95 plan, and it shows an additional $20 fee for the Landline, which is credited back later on the bill.

This was added when 2D first released the $69.95 plan, and offered them with a free landline on mobile. This changed over time to be a chargeable extra (from memory).

Those T&C read that we also shouldn’t have a land line on mobile at no cost...

Yep, LYOM was offered free for a limited time when it was introduced. If a customer moves plans they may lose the $20 credit on their account.
