Hi all, just ported over a 021 number to 2d. However you can’t receive any calls.

You can make calls and send and receive txt messages. Is there a delay before this works?

Yes, generally it may take up to a few hours for the carrier updates to go through. May not hurt to reset your phone too...

Think you mean re-power your handset not reset it

Reset? Obviously, you mean restart. Not quite as drastic ;-)

You mean a hard reset ?

It’s a new iPhone SE purchased today so it hasn’t had any other carriers sims in it

Just weird as normally the inward calls always work straight away. Usually it’s the iMessage feature that takes 24 hrs or so

Phew. As setting it up again would be a pain.

It was switched about 4pm today. How long before I should query this directly with 2d?

It's down to luck really. Sometimes it's super quick and everything works right away, other times it takes hours for all the routing information to be updated to reflect your new carrier.
It doesn't matter whether it's a new phone or old one, this is all controlled on the network level.

I know. Bugger!!! Vodafone don’t offer any good rollover deals so I found this made more sense.

Is the porting process 24hrs as it’s still not working. So it might not be fixed until tomorrow?

I assume things are very automated ?
