Hey,

I've just moved to the country, and move in to a house in 3 weeks time (currently in temporary accomodation in Auckland CBD)..

From looking around at the different deals etc it pretty much looks like Snap is the provider for me, and i'm probably looking at the 60gb / month plan...

Firstly, The house i'm moving to is in Ellerslie, is there a way i can check how far from the exchange it is, and therfore get an idea as to what DSL speed i will get, and am i able to check whether or not that exchange is ADSL2+ enabled ?

Secondly, i'd love to be able to place the order for DSL before i actually move in to the property, so that the activation date is on or around the day that i move in. is this something i can do ? (i suspect that the existing occupants may well have DSL)

Cheers

Personally i would be contacting Snap ASAP about the move as i have moved house on Friday 29th August and have only just been advised today my Phone & Internet will not be re-connected until Friday 5th September.

I called them approx 1 month before the move so i could get connected on the same day and nothing happened i called them again on the Friday i moved at approx 3o'clock to be told it should be done today. I called again on Saturday/Sunday/Monday to be told it would be done on all these days and it hasn't. We call them on Tuesday (Today) and have just been told it won't now happen until Friday which to me is bloody poor. And to be honest some of there staff have been poor in contacting us & i guess advising the truth & there attitudes when you ring them back because they don't was amateur at least

Don't get me wrong when i had it running in my old house everything was fine & the internet & phone was great. But if you are moving would suggest for you not to get your hopes up on same day connection
