As above. I've been tryin to download Modern Warfare today. I respect the fact that a lot of people are also trying to download the game, however, my speeds are ranging from 150-500kb/s, which is an absolute joke... A few times it has crept up to 1mb/s, but this rarely happens.
I'm downloading it to an NVme drive, and to make sure its not a storage drive issue, I have tested the download on my SATA SSD and HDD to no avail. In CHCH, on Orcon Gigabit connected via Ethernet. Speedtest results to CHCH Vocus server are 940mbps down / 540mbps up, which I understand isn't really saying much because the download server from what I can see isn't even in Oceania. I checked the IP of one of the seeds for the download, and this is whats coming up: https://ipgeolocation.io/browse/ip/8.255.57.126 - a server in New Jersey.
To be honest, my download speeds to both Steam and Bnet haven't been able to sustain much higher than 30mb/s recently. However, Origin downloads can frequently sustain 70-75mb/s. I've made sure no internet traffic could be causing this. No other internet issues either. Other downloads on Bnet are a little better, but not by much (around 8-10mb/s).
I tried a VPN, which increased the speeds to around 6-7mb/s, using a New South Wales tunnel. I've tried changing the installation folder for the Bnet client, restarting my PC, completely closing Bnet - no joy. I'm positive its an Orcon issue, although my only proof so far is that other people in NZ I know have had 0 issues downloading the game (albeit on different ISPs), and the fact the VPN improved things quite substantially.
Any help would be appreciated, as I'm already very disappointed that I haven't been able to play on launch day (although this is likely punishment for not preloading the game...).
