I'm trying to port my 2degrees number to Kogan. It asks for sim card serial number. Tried googling, all it gives me is how to find the IMEI number. Tried with it as well, but of no use. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I own a Samsung S22 Ultra, if it is of any help.

TIA.

The Kogan SIM card will have a number on it - thats most likely what its after.

If you have an iPhone you can find it in Settings-->General-->About. It's the ICCID. Not sure about Android, maybe somewhere similar?

No, if you're porting to Kogan, you need the 2D SIM number, not the Kogan one.

And to ask the obvious question, have you looked at the actual physical SIM card for a number?   (Assuming you're not on an eSim).

IIRC it's only printed on either the package you throw away immediately or the bit of plastic you snap the SIM out, and throw away immediately.

Oops, wrong way :)

Shows how often I port numbers ;)

No, should be on the SIM. At least they are with OneNZ (and previously Vodafone) SIMs. 16 digits - NZ ones probably start with 64

Thanks, it was indeed on the physical sim card.

It is on the SIM. Looks like, 2 Degrees start with 89.

trig42: ... 16 digits - NZ ones probably start with 64

  • One NZ (VFNZ) = 6401 ...
  • Kogan = 6401 ...
  • 2 Degrees = 6424
  • Spark = 6501

SaltyNZ: ... It's the ICCID.

Rmani: ... 2 Degrees start with 89.

My experience shows that the ICCID is 19 digits long & starts with 89. To get the SIM card #, drop the "89" & last digit, then you have the 16-digit SIM card.

Slightly of topic...

If I remember correctly Telecom's 025 Network had ESN's starting with 6400

SIM numbers (ICCID) are on the SIM card, in microscopic print.    The packaging labels with large print make the numbers easier to read.
