My business has a landline number, but most people call my mobile now - maybe 1-2 landline calls per week. I currently have the landline through 2degrees broadband but am considering moving to their landline on mobile service, which is free on business accounts. I am concerned about the drawbacks, but the only one of relevance that shows up in searches is roaming charges when overseas.

Is there anything else that I should be aware of?

I was a geek before the word was invented!

It can only receive calls. Outbound calls come from the mobile number. Doesn't sound like that will be a fatal flaw for you though.

Only other drawback I can see is if you are on leave? are you going to leave your mobile with someone else to answer calls?

and when business is sold.

i suspect the OP is using personal mobile number also.

perhaps a 2talk landline number is needed and OP can divert to chosen mobile as needed?

Thanks for your replies. I can also set call forwarding to my mobile on no answer, so will try that first. The price for a business landline includes calling to NZ mobiles and landlines so that should not cost anything, although I will check!

Then just change where the landline number terminates, and then change it back once you're back.
