hey Slingshot,

Is there going to be a matching of data plans/prices at all for your Contract Mobile customers?

I doubt it! They're a MNVO, they run over vodafone's network, so they won't be any cheaper than vodafone..

Yeah but Orcon are an MNVO of Vodafone as well?  Yet they are undercutting Vodas current data rates and pricing?

Oh well, guess if not, I'll port my number to 2Degrees and get a temp Slingshot number, use Slingshot for calling, 2degrees for data/text

How are they cheaper than vodafone for data?
Orcon charges $50/month for 1GB..
Vodafone are $40 for 512mb, and then $10 for 512mb more..

Whoops yeah you are right, i was actually meaning the mobile broadband plans, but yeah they are acutally all the same

orcon/vodafone:
29.95 for 500mb
49.95 for 2gb
69.95 for 4gb - all no contracts which is a plus

slingshot:
22.95 for 200mb
59.95 for 512mb at current rates
220+ for 2Gb
440+ for 4GB

2Degrees:
$20 for 512mb current 1GB for the first few months
$50 for 2GB currently 3gb for a few months
$150 for 10Gb, complete overkill

Think I'll be switching to 2Degrees and running out my Free XT Slingshot contract...till they get other plans, otherwise once my 6 months are up I'll close off the account

I'll only be switching for txt/calls on 2degrees, since vodafone is still cheaper for data :|
