Has anyone noticed any inflated figures reported for their Snap data usage over the last few weeks?

Yesterday I downloaded about 2.2GB of files and maybe 300MB of usage but it's reported as 3.7GB

Normal useage reporting here.
Are you downloading via torrent? could be you are not counting the torrent upload content.

I've been extending my cap the last week or so downloading some "educational" linux isos.. I've been downloading about 5-10gb a night with no issue and it's definitly showing up on my cap.

Though, I am curious weather snap is shaping data during 1am - 7am.. I notice the torrents seem to sit at 400kps or so even with hundreds of seeds

Mine sit at about 1000-1400k/sec when my connection maxes out at 2,200k/sec approx.

I have experienced exactly the same issue this month as I have in no way gone over my limit yet Snap usage meter seems to think that I had.

I looked at all the stats from my torrent client and it just doesnt add up when compared to what Snap meter reports. Yes I do count both uploads and downloads but it still doesnt come anywhere near.

I strongly recommend that you all monitor your usage meter as I think that there is something weird going on and Snap are very quiet about it.

Hope this helps and please let me know if you have any updates to this problem.

This is interesting.

Somehow I am doing busting my 10GB a month allowance with emails and web browsing. No torrents, linux isos or the like. All automatic updates are disable as well.

I just checked my torrent client and it says that total amount transferred over the last 31 days is 28.4 so this is nearly 50% of what the data usage meter is showing on Snap. In addition it shows that I am over my quota by 11 GB which to me doesnt seem possible to use up that much bandwidth in 10 days while capped to dial up speeds. Thats over a a gig a day on dial up yeah right!!!

I feel that I am being ripped off by this ISP.

I have been monitoring my data usage over the last week or so and I have to say that its been accurate as far as I can tell. It appears that data is currently being reported correctly. I wonder if they had an issue with data usage over the Xmas period or something. Having said this I think it pays for people to monitor their usage and report any unusual behaviour.
