I posted a thread about this a couple of hours ago, guess it was taken down because I couldn't verify my source. I registered with Your 2degrees about a few hours ago, but still haven't heard anything from them regarding the new plans, will keep you posted if I do. Can't wait to find out what the changes are.

I could be wrong.

I don't think it's a scam, the text message came directly from 2degrees - same number I always receive updates and data top up confirmations from.

The email sharing part is done on the 2degrees website when you sign up to Your 2degrees, similar thing to registering a pre-paid vodafone phone for the $10 credit, except with 2Degrees you go in a monthly draw to win $25 credit.

I'm pretty sure it's genuine.

Oh ok, fair enough.
Sounds good then.

Texts don't all go out at once, we dribble them through a bit. No need to spam *ourselves*. :-)

I can't really comment on that other than to say that yes, those texts were real. See also my other unhelpful comment in the other thread. :-)

Is it just for ipads?

I'm really hoping it has something to do with National Data packs. I live outside the mobile data zones and don't have any choice other than to use national data, which is cool but more options would be really great.

+1 for changes to national data.

With iOS 4.3 coming soon and the ability to use the iPhone as a personal hotspot, any increase to the national data would be awesome!

Based on the hint previously dropped by Salty I'm hoping for a more efficient way of managing data packs. Getting bombarded by text messages warning me about the impending exhaustion or expiry of any of my four data packs - national and in-territory packs on both my iPhone and iPad - is an intrusive and awkward solution. It's not helped by the fact that renewing a data pack on the iPad requires weaving through a hostile text messaging utility to request a data pack, and then checking online to ensure that it succeeded.

I'd really like to see online or iOS app based functions to purchase data packs, including an auto-renew option. Also, I'd like to be able to have my iPad data billed on the same account as my pay monthly connection.

What I said earlier today: http://twitter.com/manhinli/status/32999586595344384 in reply to http://twitter.com/richms/status/32998924226662401

So I'm guessing better management.
