Arg Help!

I have recently purchased a HTC Desire HD - Brilliant Phone!! - Upgraded from a HTC Desire - Also a brilliant phone.

However I am have great difficulty with getting a correct setting so I can access the internet using 3G etc (not wifi)

Phone works great on wifi!

Have looked at the previous settings for APN from 2degrees on this site - seem to be pretty generic (worked on the old desire)

Settings I have used with no joy are:

Name : internet
APN : internet
Proxy : 118.148.1.118 (with and without the 00 leads for the 3rd set of numbers)
Port : 8080
Server : http://m.2degreesmobile.co.nz/
MCC : 530 (default value)
MNC : 24  (default value)
APN type : default

and

Name: 2degrees
APN: 2degrees
Proxy: 118.148.1.118
Port: 8080
Username: Blank
Password: Blank
Server: Blank
MMSC: Blank
MMS proxy: Blank
MMS port: Blank
MCC: 454
MNC: 12
APN type: internet
Authentiication: None

and

The standard settings from the lovely people at 2 degrees (after 3 calls they still spoke to me nicely!Laughing)

Name: 2degrees internet
APN: internet
APN type: default

None worked and the final answer from 2 degrees is it may be locked - however as I have updated to Android 2.3 and it works on a Vodafone sim as well - I find this a little hard to believe :-)

So in a nutshell all I need are the APN settings for the HTC Desire HD on 2 degrees.

Cheers
