Hi

I have recently moved from telecom to 2 degrees. Since switching to 2 degrees I am unable to get the internet on my motorolla backflip. I have made numerous calls to 2 degrees and gone through deleted the apn's then reloaded them. My issue with not being able to get internet was esculated to the Tier 2 guys. I phoned again tonight and they yet again we went through the settings and still it came up with NO NETWORK CONNECTION this page will continue loading after connection has been restored. They then said I had to phone motorolla which I did and motorolla said that since I was able to get internet on my phone with telecom that there was no problem with the phone and that I wouldn't be able to get internet with 2 degrees.

Is there anyone that can help me with this? Or have experienced the same problem. Any help greatly appreciated.

First step of basic fault checking,

Have you tried packet data services with SIM card in another handset?

Yes I have 2 degrees sent me out 2 other sim cards to try one a micro sim card and they both didn't work.

You want to know if that same SIM does not work in all handsets or just your Motorolla Back flip

How do you know the issue is not with the handset then?

The handset used to get the internet alright with telcom. I will try the sim card in another phone tomorrow.

I have been through the APN settings with 2 degrees numerous times, I think I could just about do it in my sleep.

I have tried the sim card in another handset today, was able to get internet fine. So it is definately the phone.

There you go so that narrows it down.

Has the handset got an option disable mobile data when roaming?

Data roaming is ticked for being on, don't think it is anywhere else on the phone.

When I was using my Samsung Galaxy S2 in Hastings on the 2Degrees network, it was in roaming mode due to them not having their own network. I had to go into the settings and enable "Data Roaming" before it would connect to data services. This is a fail safe so as to not incur major data charges when overseas.
