Long time 2degrees user now (well as long as one can be), and with the new $39 plan I just knew I had to take advantage of it.  So being the loyal customer I am I thought change from my pay monthly $29 plan (month to month) onto the $39 dollar plan, but take the term to get the discount of $75 in store vouchers/handset subsidy.  The first fail was buying it from Warehouse stationary, they were unable to give me the subsidy on the phone, but said I could have it applied to the account once I ordered the contract - wrong.

My next fail moment was ordering the plan online, I rightly declined the right to have $75 off of a new handset because I wanted the vouchers.  The order went through, the new plan was applied - but what about my store vouchers!?  Rang up to be told you have to sign up in store for them otherwise they are unavailable..  This is not clear on the website, in fact the first document to come up on a "resign" search is this one

2degress needs to make it very clear monthly bonuses for a term in the form of vouchers are not available online.  I am now left trying to sort it out, and this means them dropping me down from my new plan back to my old month to month so I can go into store and resign - seems ridiculous from a company thats emphasis is on online management of your account.  I wouldnt be as annoyed as I am now except its been 5 days and the changes havent been made despite the 2 days (3 max) that it would take.  Rang this morning and they said "should be by Monday", had to bite my tongue from saying "no no it should have been by Wednesday".  It seems like a lot of running around for something that never said it was unavaliable online!

Oh dear... When I sighed up just over a year ago I raised the issue of store education with 2degrees as stores selling their phones, etc had no idea on the things on offer, or how to apply offers and kept sending me to 2degrees. At the time 2degrees people told me that getting the store people trained and up to scratch was a priority.

Up until this I have been very impressed with the online capabilities, however if the documentation doesnt match what one can do online we are all left guessing. Consistency is the key. I agree training of outside staff is essential, they do represent your brand after all!
