Hey I just asked the following and got the

Hi Orcon,
What offers do you have for us current Orcon customers that are unable to receive Genius due to being outside your coverage. $249 for 205gig does compare well to $99 for 200gig for geniusLike ·

I just thought I would add that in fact the invoices do show I was charged GST on top of the cost of my plan for 9 of the 15 months.

I would address this with your billing department in Cambodia except the 1 hour trying to explain the issue with your help desk and being told I was wrong then being put on hold for a further 20 minutes when I asked to speak directly to the Auckland help desk.

To add insult to injury when I returned the modem I was told the fee I was charged for the modem rental for the month (after my contract had ended) would be returned.
When I called to confirm you had received the modem I was told the fee would not be returned

I've given up with you guys
Keep the money
It amounts to about $250 in total.

I'm not willing to waste a second longer trying to claim it back

I'm not interested in dealing with you bameran because I shouldn't have to deal with you in order to get a result which should come as a matter of course.

your customer service is abysmal, Your Croatian help desk is abysmal.
There is a huge difference between being able to speak English
and understanding english. And saving costs by transferring me to another country is just another example of how Orcon have failed.

I will use my influence where ever possible from this day forward to dissuade anybody from ever using your service again.

I will not waste another moment of my life however trying to reclaim the hours of time wasted or the dollars wasted with your company.

I hope Orcon fails.

I asked a few days ago and got told that they are "still looking into it" but that "it's still in early planning stages".  Don't hold your breath I'm afraid.  Unfortunately they kind of didn't get the hint that maybe they could, you know, deviate a bit from the plans on paper.  Sigh.

Don't give up yet! They need you're money to pay for prizes like these:   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dV49P7C24dg

Seriously, I know were you are coming from. I gave them every opportunity to fix the issues and reduce the pricing to a sensible level. They eventually resolved some of the speed issues, but never address the uncompetitive fees.

I've moved to Snap and as you can see below the difference is noticeable and the fees are much lower. They also respond quickly and to date have provided excellent customer service.

Dam it. I just received one last invoice from Orcon with a $250 charge for "Finance & Administration"!!!

I seen out my 12 months and gave the required 1 months notice to terminate...

I really can't be bothered dealing with them tomorrow on the phone, but at $250 I will have too.

God I hate Orcon.

Unbelievable!

I’ve just received what I would expect to be my final bill, and low and behold I have been charged from the 23rd of July to the 22nd August. I was told on the phone I would most likely get a credit.. not a bill for $124.74!!!

Well HELLO ORCON – The service was terminated on the 11th July (after 30 days notice) and SNAP internet took over (very smoothly may I add).

Please fix this tomorrow or I’m off to Fair Go… this is ridiculous. Orcon user name IDNZ.

Ok I have now seen what the $250 that they charge if the modem is not returned. Fair enough.

I thought my partner had already returned it, but apparently not.

Hopefully they reverse this charge without hassle when they get their modem back.

Hi there,

Apologies for the confusion. Flick me a PM with your username and I can have a prepaid courier bag sent out to you so you can return the device.

Cheers,

No problem. I was too quick to criticise, thinking that I had been charged an early termination fee, which wasn't the case at all when I looked over the invoice properly.

Thanks.

Why's it taking so long to decide on what to do with your non genius customers it was announced in April it's July almost August and still nothing.... It's beginning to get frustrating being an Loyal Orcon customer (and maybe for not much longer might I add) if you want to keep us waiting waiting waiting
