manhinli: Nothing has been said regarding the availability of mobile broadband services.

Mobile Broadband Zones will be here, but I will expect it to mean "zones where mobile broadband speeds (as in HSDPA) will be available".

zones inside 2degrees own network? e.g. the three cities.

Hmm, that would be lame. :( Back to 2degree's losing me as a customer..
Physical regioned data/plans are lame.

Oh come on.  You know they roam on Vodafone outside of 3 metros + Q'town.  How could they possibly be better priced than Vodafone and Vodafone's MVNOs outside of their own network.  If you live outside of their network, then tough, they will build it out eventually.

Humm those deals looks pretty good.

From the pricing I predict
512mb $15-$20
10GB $100-$150 (no term)

The 10GB plan interests me because it could be 365 days, and if I am right $10/15 per GB is pretty cheap....

Don't expect the deals to be amazing, as 2degress admitted 40% of their network usage comes from VF roaming and they would not want to load-up their network too quick. It will be at least 12-24 months till they really compete on Data.

i got no problem with different data plans in different regions if the price is very low.

But...

$99 for USB Modem +  512MB data i dont see a reason why this cant be offered nationwide.

Well, I live in Hamilton, i'm here most of the time, while I occasionally go up to Auckland..

Oncop53:
SteveON: $5 it's on friday

$5 it is not. (no idea actually but probability has got to be working for me here).

Edit: unless you were being tricky by not specifying which Friday. Then you have a 14.3 % chance of being correct.

If I'm right can I have your $5??  It might be Thursday...

FYI on DSE for the 2degrees x6 "Out of stock, due 29-Jul-2010, we will backorder for you and despatch asap."

That will depend on when the data expires. calender month, 30 days  since purchase or  6 to 12 months..  I'll wait until I see the 2D press release.  Hopefully soon..

I'm sure these leaks are staged. We are being used to generate marketing hype.

Now NBR is referencing this website.

All good marketing 2degrees, cleaver.

Back on page 12 you said your 2d rep told you 512mb was going to be $12...  Thought it sounded a bit cheap.  Even 15-20 is too low.

I never said he said that... or did I? I was guessing.

Anyway back on page 13 I really don't care... Just release the plans and we will all be happy.

I see that the Warehousestationary links are now blocked as well. Guess they let the cat out of the bag too early as well.

Next leak??

Far out. If I was 2degrees I would have a cluse in the agreement stating that they can't do this. Some companies are not careful enough.

It won't have been deliberate.  Whoever maintains their website has just mindlessly keyed in the latest stock codes from their suppliers.

I can see why they wouldn't want the prices disclosed for their mobile broadband sticks & plans, handsets on the other hand, especially the ones that we have seen a taste of, aren't exactly earth-shattering nor particularly confidential in terms of imparting their competitors much in the way of information.  If they were bringing one of the latest Android handsets, then that might have been worth protecting ... 1.6 is not!

Just received a text from 2degrees:

"2degress 3G is coming! So get ready for some great launch offers. Tip: to hear first share your email at Your 2degrees"..
