I too just wasted time troubleshooting my VPN and remote connectivity.
Thanks for the advice on here. I called support and pleaded my case - and got a free static IP too.
I'm happy again 😄
I'm kinda amazed at the number of people here who didn't at the first step, check their IP.
Given each example would have been a dynamic IP, it's equally as likely that DDNS got out of sync.

This sounds like an attempt to brush off 2degrees' lack of communication...

Anything I say is the ramblings of an ill informed, opinionated so-and-so, and not representative of any of my past, present or future employers, and is also probably best disregarded.

D'oh. Thought on an old plan I might get overlooked. But alas
My test web front end has stopped responding today, Guessing I'll find a local NAT address on the WAN when I get home.
Hold up, you guys got free static IPs? I had to pay! Should I call back?

You can try. Or you can vote with your wallet.
BarTender: Or use a tunneling service like ngrok, localxpose.io or similar. I would assume you just need a single port. As long as it's http traffic it can sometimes be easier doing that without exposing your home connection.

GreensladeNZ:Yeah, I got mine for free... I was surprised when I saw people saying they had to pay the monthly fee.

Edit: 2degrees have said they will review static ips case by case, so I assume there's factors like customer subscription duration etc.
Benoire: I presume your only getting a static ipv4 and not the static ipv6?My ipv6 /56 has been the same for at least the last 2 reconnections. I dont know if it's static or not, but iirc it has been this way since before CGNAT/ me requesting static ipv4.
