youngs: Using Snap naked broadband with Xnet VoIP. No problems with voip

Doing this at the end of the month; I've been with them for years and years but the cost saving is going to be very welcome.

Did xnet require notice? It's been a long time since I changed ISPs.

I've just signed up with Snap - moving from Xnet, who can no longer compete on price.  I'm a long time 2talk user and like having my voip service independent from my ISP.  It makes changing ISPs painless.

It has to be better to keep your VoIP account separate from your ISP surely. Otherwise it will end with the same problems you have with ISP email accounts. When you leave your ISP you have to change email addresses. Obviously I realise it is easy to port numbers to different providers these days but what a pain having to change set up when you change ISP.

AviZ: snap should think about getting a voip service going, i think it would be worth while..

Hi All,

Thanks for the kind comments! As wjw says we do have a VOIP product but its currently still going through final testing stages, for the Geeks out there our backbone is using SBC's by Acme Packet.

We don't have an ETA on a service offering yet and can't really answer any questions around feature-sets etc, but all our UFB services will be delivered via this platform.

Thanks
