I think Snap unmeter quickflix, and are well regarded on this forum.

Snap are definitely outstanding, I'm with them and I highly recommend them, however I don't think they do zero-rate quickflix (yet?) Must admit I've not tried it myself, but when I last looked into it they had made some noise about zero-rating quickflix but hadn't done it yet and it's been in limbo ever since.

Having said that, if you're with them and buy one of their data add-ons it comes with oodles of data (smallest is 100GB and it's pretty cheap - I have this one) - you get zero-rated data\unlimited downdloads from 1am - 7am. In the couple of months since they added this I've literaly come nowhere even remotely near hitting my data caps - I just schedule backups and large downloads, steam downloads, etc for the 1am-7am window.

BAH HUMBUG thanks for the sh@t Xmas present Orcon perhaps you'd like to now give me an 250GB a month data allowance at no extra cost to compensate for the loss of steam being unmetered

As stated previously I am most upset with Orcon dropping Quickflix. I thought of moving to the unlimited Orcon plan but after reading the FAQ it appears that orcon put all the unlimited users in a separate pool and the rest of Orcon customers in another pool.
This could mean that using the Unlimitered pool could prove quite slow at peak periods.
Are there any users that are using the unlimitted plan that could comment on speed?

I'm an unlimited customer and have to say (see my earlier post in this thread, on page 1) that while it's generally fast enough to max out my maximum line speed of ~10Mbits (~1MB/s) I have noticed that there are occasional speed issue around the 5 – 7pm on weekdays mark.

When these speed issue do crop up (and they don't happen regularly, just occasionally) they're pretty frustrating as they impact my downloads (non-P2P; I'm fine with P2P being shaped/throttled) to only run at around ~300KB/s (vs ~1000KB/s normally) and even more annoying that the download speed is the latency on normal web requests, page loads are slowed significantly especially to international sites during these periods.

Overall it's fine, but like I said in my first post in this thread, if more people move to Unlimited now that the higher capped data plans have been removed, Orcon will have to seriously step up their game and allot a lot more data to this 'pool' so that the plan scales with the influx of the userbase.

I've kinda been pleasantly surprised by the Unlimited Service. I was one of the lucky ones previously who always got line speed on Big Time, so I went into it with an open mind. The only downside would be very slight and infrequent ping spikes in WoW.

I'm a heavy Steam user so if I wasn't on unlimited I would have been a bit annoyed, but can totally understand the logic. You can't please everyone (or explain why they have been billed) all the time..
