think they were testing how far it came down, and it's prebuffering so if you have a 20 megabit+ connnection it'll use over 20 megabit peak.
the data volume total is what really counts, but skipping between videos (the new channel hopping) will increase bandwidth consumption compared to just watching whole videos.
especially with music videos i find myself hopping a bit because some of them are low quality, or people have screwed up the video sound etc. although most of them are 240p to 480p.
