I'll take that as a no.

Its a component of DSL that can be turned off, The main reason it is turned off is to achieve a lower ping which may match with your Snap speedtest, One of the side effects of turning it off is that it generally lowers your sync rate.


My sync rate improves when interleaving was off. 

The opposite of what you say but in cases of low quality line I'm not sure .

I think his interleaving is off. My speedtest pings would be around 40-50ms with interleaving on, and around 15ms with it off.

Very much depends on distance from exchange/cabinet...
I have interleaving off and have a much higher ping, at around 1.2KM from the exchange, 84ms on speedtest.net and 22ms at my first hop.
TBH I take speedtest results with a grain of salt
