The VDSL plan, I'm pretty sure there's only one for VDSL. I just added an extra data pack to give me 110GB/month total plus unlimited offpeak traffic. You can add unlimited Youtube (anytime) for $5 per month as well which is pretty sweet.

I use both netflix and hulu+ on Snap! and both always buffer in HD

No I don't use hulu or netflix so I can't help you there. What I will say though is that if the international bandwidth is good, as evidenced by previous testing, and there's still issues, then it's some other link that's the issue and changing ISPs won't solve that problem.

I have Snap at home and find they're great for streaming services like Hulu, Netflix, and Vudu. The HD on Vudu is particularly good.

So a bit slower at absolute peak time, but more than fast enough for streaming video!

That said, that was only speedtest, I can still get around 5MBytes/sec from my US based Usenet provider, so there's no lack of International bandwidth in general.

Normally 720p HD will require around 4-6megabit/s to buffer and 8-12megabit/s for 1080p HD

garvani: Just wanted to acknowledge how great my experience was with snap. On Friday the 24th i put an order through online to churn my connection to a naked adsl connection (i was on a vodafone connection with phone), put through my direct debit information then was informed it will take a week or so to process and move everything over which was fine.
Come Monday i get an email stating that the payment was accepted and that the connection would be live the following day, which it was. Tested speeds etc last night and although the speedtests are about the same the throughput is better on downloads, also have knocked about 30ms off my pings on Battlefield 3 servers in Aus. We now get an extra 110gb for $7 more than we were paying vodafone.

Overall very happy with the service!

I'm researching a shift from VF & phone Red Zone (copper straight through to vf's kit at the exchange: adsl2). I'm pretty much decided on Snap naked.

What are you doing for a home phone? Nothing? VoIP? A different provider? I'm looking at xnet vfx.

I'm concerned that I'll lose my phone number in the process eg if I do things in the wrong order. Does anyone have any advice on this?

(Also a bf3 player!)
