Pasco: Thanks. for that NAT part, I just enabled that one-to-one NAT on the router. didn't set any ip range for it. with that setting, I can connect my laptop to router's LAN port and access internet without any problem.
That was good deduction skill for sounddude. I had no idea that the router wouldn't be doing NAT by default when it receives a single IP on a WAN port..
It all sounded fine to me :)
probably cos i'm way too used to adsl routers that are really difficult to turn nat off on.
ONT ---- managed switch Port 1 (tagged vlan10)
RV042G(WAN) ---- manage switch Port 2 (untagged vlan10)
PC01 ---- Managed switch port 20(untagged vlan20)
RV042G(LAN4) ---- managed switch Port 24(unthread vlan20)
RV042G(LAN1) --- Unmanaged switch Port 1
PC02 --- Unmanaged switch Port 2
In RV042G router, I have one-to-one NAT Enable but didn't specify private and public ip range(do I have to specify? If so will that my current public ip will be the range?). Setup dhcp ranging from 10.1.1.2-60
PC02 can get dhcp and dns ok and access Internet. However PC01 just can't get ip assigned and pinged to router which is 10.1.1.1 failed.
