What did you get in the end ?
I just got a couple of cheap panasonics. Both did work using the fritzbox as DECT base station, but neither worked fully - I just couldn't get caller id working. One of them is supposed to be fully GAP compliant, and I think listed in that thread, but I couldn't get caller id working - given the price of them perhaps panasonic cut some corners. In the end I just plugged one of the panasonic base stations into the FON port on the fritzbox, then registered both handsets with that base station. Caller ID, etc all seems to work fine like that.
But yeah, if you're determined to use the fritzbox as your DECT base station, maybe spend extra. The siemens gigasets seem pretty well respected around here and I think a few people have them working with the fritzbox, but you do pay for that.
