I too ditched the hopeless wifi and got an ubiquiti AP.. no more issues and 2x the coverage.

You can move to Channel 6 there by the looks. Nothing near you then.

kept: Thanks all - have a few things to test out.

Here are screens of the 2.4 & 5 ghz interference also, 4 wifi SSIDs in the same room as the router, 3 at zero bars which I havent seen before (I dont use WIFI in this room)
All at 2.4, so maybe to force to 5ghz as suggested above will help also.
or change channels also maybe

I had mine set as a separate ssid so I could specifically select 5ghz wherever possible.

using 5ghz on another ssid, so that it cant fall back could be a good option there.

ild lock your channel at 6, looks like the sweat spot.. nice area your in, next to no other interferences it looks like.

The fritz wifi is a total joke compared to a real accesspoint - even a lowly 100mW one will crap all over the fritz for stability and range.

I have an old firmware on my single radio fritz set on a 5GHz channel and it barely makes it thru the floor, a cheap-as dual band router sitting 2 shelves down from it gets thru the floor and gives a good 270 meg connection to all 5GHz devices in the room above.

I had massive problems with ch 36 and 40 getting really poor performance, try going for the higher ones - that also cleared up a lot of issues I had.

Has anyone used Freetz custom firmware and know whether it can 'fix' the power saving wifi modes of the fritzbox firmware?

theres a few who have talked of using freetz on their fritz, cant think of any that talked of their wireless though.
