Thanks InstallerUFB
Kinda confused again, I tripled checked with the person I was chatting to at Snap regarding the Fritzbox location in relation to the phone jackpoints as if it had to be near the jackpoint, then the install location of the ONT was limited to one place in the house

However, I think until things are actually installed and working I may always be a little confused about the technology.

Onward to convincing time!

That'd be what the told a mate in Rolleston too.. Both devices in the middle of a wall in the lounge (unsigtly if tv was ever moved) because it needed to be near the phone jack heh.

I've given them an alternative plan since the ETP has a hole on the inside of the garage where the water cylinder tap is anyway

Just want to say many thanks to all that replied in this thread
Unfortunately despite my best efforts, as my parents do not understand the technology they have stuck their head in the sand and are refusing to allow Fibre to be installed

I could at this point be a very bad son and get it installed anyway as I control the current phone/internet account but its not my way (and if it went wrong I would be out and I dont have the means to afford my own home)
