I wouldn't touch the new firmware with a ten foot pole. (Well I'm on vdsl and close to the cabinet so that's why)

Can anyone here confirm that the 6.03 update works on VDSL with a Broadcom cabinet?
If you don't know what brand of cabinet your using, just go to the DSL page and all the information is there.

Upgrade killed my DSL, revert to 5.22 is currently working fine. I don't use the remote access or MyFritz etc etc anyway, so will sit on this till something stable across all cabinets comes out.

Seems to be a DSL issue only as UFB customers appear to be OK after the upgrade. With mine it all went, and is, fine - 100.22 down and 55.43 up.

And perhaps as above, it has to do with cabinet\line card, so only affects some DSL connections? I've certainly heard of a number of people with issues after upgrading to anything above the .22 firmware which is why I'm reluctant to try it.

Yeah I will point out here that I'm on VDSL and it was toast & UFB is at least 2 years away here, so looks like this is it.

With Snap (ADSL), using FRITZ 7390 and just upgraded the firmware to test this. All working fine.

So should people on UFB upgrade to the new firmware? I'm on 05.22 I think.

I think it's only some people on dsl ( particularly vdsl) that have seen issues with upgrading from .22. Either drops in sync rates, losing the ability to change target snrm or at worst i think some people (hio?)couldn't sync even after re-downgrading and needed a port reset. That was all vdsl connections so i think you should be ok to upgrade on ufb, the only other issue i think i've heard of is that smb access is messed up if you're using the nas\hdd\usb port on fritzbox
