Just did another test with ethernet plugged in! Not flash...

Guess it's time to run Slingshots line diagnostics tomorrow

I have given up on hulu with global mode on slingshot.

The shows play mostly fine, but the ad's are taking about 3 mins to get thru a 20 second one because its so stop/start/stop/start.

Only solution is to turn the quality down to the bad SD one, and then the ad will play with maybe 1 or 2 skips in it, then turn it up for the show, but that often provokes another ad playback.

However via VPN using strong VPN to sanfran on my snap connection it all works perfectly.

This is on both a samsung smart tv (3 years old so abandoned by samsung for updates) and on a recent bluray player with smart tv stuff.

It seems that every Auckland server I use for speedtest.net in the evening give me 2Mbps (+/- 0.10Mbps) but if I use Slingshots Speedtest located on their website I get 14Mbps in the evening.

Seems as though it's not a problem with my connection, but rather my traffic gets slowed (or shaped?) when it leaves Slingshots network
