That is starting to look like Chorus giving you the CIR for some reason, we'll switch to looking at just your line as I'm not getting any further reports of anything wide-spread. Especially with you getting some definitely odd routing....

all I know is that when first switching over to your VDSL genius product it ran great up until a couple of days ago now it's just worse than my ADSL2+ for downloads and yeah that routing is most definitely weird

Cheers for looking into this for me I'll PM you my account details

This got pushed to Chorus Friday (I told you I would 8pm Thursday night), I'll follow up on it today. Remember up to that point we were looking at it from a bigger issue perspective but none was found.

Will update later.

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

well after talking on the phone to you I had a niggling feeling that I should have checked the truenet test router and well what do you know the damn thing has gone sideways after removing it from the setup (My PC (via wired connection) > Truenet Router > Genius NF4V > Cabinet > Orcon) it all seems to be back to normal again

I never thought to check it I just forgot it was there

Thanks for posting this and I am SO glad we got to the bottom of it, we will perhaps need to chat to Truenet as that could have unfairly affected Orcon's VDSL results. Shows the importance of a proper isolation test :-)

Obviously proves we have no idea which sites report for Truenet purposes....

yeah I just can't believe I completely forgot about removing it from the setup in the first place for isolation testing the damn thing is just so innocuous you tend to forget it's there at all
I've also messaged truenet and asked them to discount the tests done over the last four days just make sure the results aren't skewed
