Spong: Dropped into my local branch at Wairau Park today and got my free data SIM after handing over a copy of the email I received.
When I got back home, I found that there was no data or credit loaded of any kind. I called 2Degrees and was told it takes 24-48 hours for the new SIM to be linked to my existing account. Here's hoping it does.
It's advertised as 200MB per month for life as long as you remain an account customer, so I doubt you'd need to top up. I was also told it can be linked as a shared data SIM.
GSManiac: Went and picked up my 200mb sim card on Thursday and found that it wasn't working. Two phone calls to CS and Im still not sorted out. Will have to ring again tomorrow and hopefully third time lucky.
t92300: If your an existing 2 degress pay monthly customer do you still need to buy another sim card to get the 200Mb?
bigreddog: I tried to get mine in Tauranga today, but was told that the 10,000 SIM's for this had already gone - he said he had one rejected 4 days ago due to the allocation being exhausted then - Given the post above, makes me wonder were the different stores/regions rationed?
