kotuku4: I'm keen on VDSL or possibly UFB.

Will need to upgrade Modem/router for VDSL, anyone use D-Link AC750? (I can buy locally $199 at Noel Leeming).

Other recommendations?

You'll be able to buy a VDSL modem from us for $95 including courier costs.

What model?

Flip basic has been no hassle free, Netflix streams fine.  But with other users at home will need to move to VDSL or UFB soon.

That seems like a good deal Scott - pity there are no pictures of what this ADSL/VDSL modem looks like externally in that PDF...

However, I'm still in the situation of paying your firm $85 every month for an Internet service that only operates for about 10 minutes a day if I'm lucky.

If you really think that all three modems I've tried on your line are the problem (rather than your network infrastructure that I've pinpointed above) then why don't you put your money where your (incompetent support staff's) mouth is and ship me one of these VB104W VDSL/VDSL2/ADSL2+ Wireless 4 port Routers for $95???

I'll gladly pay for it if it gets me a reliable working Internet connection.

(If this doesn't solve my problems, then I'd expect you to refund the carriage for this modem and fix my line/your infrastructure...)

Hi Scott

Can you advise how the Flip VDSL and UFB developments are progressing?  When can we register or change from existing plans?

Hey mate,

We're launching VDSL next week, all going to plan. Email support@flip.co.nz if you'd like to register your interest and we'll make you one of the first.
