Okay interesting.

Using several browsers/computers and also using my laptop I can't access facebook on Orcon's DNS.
They still however resolve when doing a tracert

Switching to Google's DNS servers fixes the issue pretty much straight away again.

Switching to Google's DNS servers fixes the issue pretty much straight away again.

Same issue applies to the girlfriends machine and my laptop.

Is is only Facebook that you have issues with? Sounds like its isolated to your connection only.... Just don't call 111 like the stupid ones in America last time there was a facebook outage :-P

When you have the problem try and run some debug tools and see where its dyeing its possible your having issues connecting to an Akamai cluster somewhere where most of the facebook content is stored.

It isn't just isolated to facebook and no I won't call 111 for it either

Some other sites like the ones I regularly browse like geekzone/twitch/facepunch just refuse to load some elements or the entire page. Sorry if I'm not being specific I've literally just walked through the door.

DNS issues are still not resolved.
Nor has my previous ticket been resolved either with only 1 call-back.

Still getting random DNS errors on youtube,facebook,facepunch,twitch(will load some pages but refuses to load anything else) and pretty much anything.

I can do ipconfig /flushdns to solve it temp but I've switched back to Google's DNS servers until a solution can be drafted.

Ok Google's DNS just started doing the same thing. It's clearly not a DNS issue, I don't have another router to test to see if it's just the router throwing off. I wonder if this is the case of the Windows 8.1 + certain modem issue. Although this is has never been an issue ever previously.

An update and I really really need an answer. I'm getting pretty frustrated that no one has called since my call over a week ago(I've complained again with the use of the online "request help" but no word and that was two days ago).
So I finally did a ipconfig /displaydns to show which domain names are timing out and I'm getting this.

So what's the cause of this now and this is pretty much my actual issue here, is it the Orcon Genius White doing this? Because I'm sick of doing ipconfig /flushdns just to have a working DNS.

Hi - apologies for this, I've pulled that support ticket out into my team and I will get you called by them tomorrow.

Meantime have you done a factory reset? Are you using ipv6?

IPv6 is turned off.
Factory reset was over maybe a week or two ago when I called them last the time I was able to get on the phone with them.
