I'm on the $29 plan and I'm currently getting 1Gb as that was the deal when I signed up to it originally. From that point of view this is a step backwards.
Same - and I don't see the point of the $25 Familyshare option either. Doesn't sound that good unless you're a high talk user.
The family share option already existed as $29/month/number.
It's useful for people that talk, text, and use data, and also want to have everything on one post-paid bill.
The only advantages I see is if you a high talk user and need the unlimited talk time, that and the one bill.
Otherwise you're better off signing everyone else on the $19 prepaid pack and data share with them. They get the same unlimited text, talk time is limited at 100min but they get their own 500MB data before data sharing.
And you save $6 per month per extra user.
If you are all high data users and within zone, buy a 12GB Data Zone pack for $99 which gives you 6 months to use it.
I have been hoping they will lower it to $20, but with unlimited calling included they probably won't. For my use case I know that I can get over 100 minutes on most months so it works out better to have a share everything plan with an add-on.
I managed to score myself a sweet deal of $69 plan with 15% off every month for the life of the contract, and an add-on to the plan worth $29/month free for the first 12 months.
