Just heard back - sorry we don't have the ability to go around the Chorus result at this stage... Will let you once we do, will be while though.

Bugger. Since I posted that have found that another neighbour has totally stuffed vdsl on the same cable so Im guessing that preventing new installs is easier for chorus than getting their A into G and fixing copper.
