Ah, just came across this.  Yes, I have noticed the service has slowed down and some pages don't load.  As I'm leaving them, I haven't followed it up.  I have a laptop wired up to the modem.

Hi all,

If you're still experiencing speed problems please send me a PM with your Flip account info and I'll get the team to take a look. If you can include a speedtest and any other pertinent info, that'd be awesome. :)

It's not a speed issue. As I said, I can stream videos from YouTube without any issues, while at the same time some websites are loading fine and others won't load at all or load very slowly, including Flip's own support page.

I'm at work at the moment, so don't know whether the issue is still ongoing. Will check tonight.

Was the output of my tracert to support.flip.co.nz earlier in this thread any help in diagnosing the root cause?

The initial few posts mentioned slowness, but that doesn't have to be the only symptom.

At this stage I've got no account examples to pass along to the team so it's a bit tricky to diagnose anything right now, once I start to gather some solid info we'll have more to go on. :)

Well what I can say is that my slowness went away after about 24 hours.  Seems to be running fine for me right now.

Perhaps occasionally there is overloading.

am also having issues with flip atm. bbc, itv, facebook, unotelly sites not loading for me yet YouTube seems fine, as does stuff and.geekzone.

reason I suspect its flip is they seem to load ok via 4g on my cellphone.

Mine's been OK the last few days.

I did open a support ticket with Flip and pointed them at this thread. Received this really helpful response (not): "Thanks for your email. Try turning the modem off for about a minute or so, and then turning it back and you should be good to go."

I am flip user in Taupo.

Since today, I am not able to access to some websites I have often visited. Some website such as yahoo, youtube is fine but not others.

My house mate has same issue so problem would be provider. The problem is not about slow connection , it is about no connection to the websites.

Could you please sort out as soon as possible you can ?

Thank you.

Koi

Sounds like a lot of people were experiencing the same issue yesterday, me included. I lost access to most websites apart from some such as Google Youtube Geekzone and a few random others, i waited 30 mins on the phone until someone answered and even then they said there was no issues from their end and to just do the old trick of turning your modem off and on. And that was all that they were able to suggest. I lost full internet access at about 2pm yesterday and it seemed to come right about 8:30 - 9pm last night. I am in Nelson. Would be great if Flip were able to communicate with customers what is going on seeing as we are paying their wages.

i was on hold for about ten min before giving up. no response from an email or a messsge to their facebook page either.

Guess they wont mind if I switch to 2degrees. If the situation repeats thats what will happen.

If you are currently experiencing problems accessing certain websites please send me a PM with your account and contact info and I'll get this in front of the right people so we can take a look. Cheers!

I don't think this was/is an isolated Flip issue. I think there were/is problems in the US as other ISPs (like my work) were struggling too...
