$114 for for 100/20 unlimited with VOIP line on new plan. I currently pay $95 for same plan with Snap. Even with 2Degrees monthly mobile discount it will be $104.

Do whatever you want to do man.

vexxxboy: ok has the phone number changed , tried the 0800 BROADBAND one and it went straight to the office of Snap, looking on site i see the contact number is 0800 022 022. i dont want mobile.

Hey there,

0800 022 022 will get you to 2degrees with an option to go to either Mobile or Broadband. Our previous 0800 BROADBAND number will still take you directly to Broadband for the time being.

Feedback:

1. Having two plans up front makes things look really simple. But users can and will get confused about lack of faster fibre plans. Make these options more visible otherwise you'll lose customers to those trying to do a direct comparison to competitors. One geekzone user above has already become confused and this is your more technical audience.
2. These plan boosts are listed on the "Ultra Fast Fibre" page which I initially didn't know to look for. Also "Ultra Fast Fibre Ltd" is the name of the Wel Networks LFC for the waikato which makes it a curious choice of term to use.
3. When i go to this page, the gigatown or neon one, i don't know that i have to click the "Broadband" heading to go back to the main broadband page with sign up form - I think it would be nice to have another sub heading to the left of "Ultra Fast Fibre" that says "Sign Up".
4. Your modem page doesn't say which model of Fritzbox it is.
5. https://secure.2degreesbroadband.co.nz/summary/snapplus in the portal still says Snap Plus

Other than those UX/UI things, looking good!

edit: is there an option to sign up for Naked (w/o any voice), and BYO modem for DSL and UFB? I know a lot of people who fit this category.

With 2degrees and Snap becoming more connected with each other, when do we need to start being concerned about using a 2degrees 4g/3g connection as a backup for Snap UFB?

Are the networks and supporting systems still completely separate or are there now some common points which have the potential for failures of both at the same time?

Snap was already the upstream provider for 2degrees long before they merged (see BGP maps). So if snap had a major core outage, 2degrees data could be affected.

Well I am confused

Based on the plan, I may be able to save $10 on my current Gigatown package based on the advertised $89 price I can see on the website

However can't access my Snap Portal nor can I access my 2Degrees Portal ...

Can we use our own equipment if we are existing Snap customers and just transfer to the new plan?

Can we transfer from an open term (term expired already) Snap contract to open ended 2degrees one?

Its a little confusing. Those are the base plans and then you can have add-ons.

And can someone advise me where one can select these "add-ons" from?

I can see on the website the ability to select a new plan (80GB or unlimited), and have ventured part-way down that track to find the options for selecting a faster speed (we currently have 30/10), but haven't come across the ability to "upgrade" our speed and am worried about signing up to the new plan by accident.

Certainly the options could be more logically laid out.

I'm on an old (well, sort of) snap plan. I didn't get a modem - or a contract - with it, and I use a Vigor130 for it. (I have a FritzBox which I got from a friend, but aside from proving the upstream line was broken, not the modem, a while back, it's never been used)

Can I switch to the new 2deg plans? 'cos it's going to save me about $10/month :) ($100 for 100GB + 100GB of VDSL down to $89 for unlimited) I don't need a modem sending out - tho you can if you want, but I'd rather not sign up for a term, or have to pay for a modem I'm not going to ever use. $160 (open term + modem cost) to save $10/month isn't really.... sane.

Is any phone service included with the base-price ADSL/VDSL plans, or are they naked? I know there is a $15 bundle for unlimited NZ/Aus calling, but it's not clear if this is an addition to a base-level phone service, or it actually is the base-level phone service.

Edit: never mind - now that the site works it's clear that the base price does not include any phone service.

Thanks to links in this thread and the similar thread in the 2D section, I've been able to log into my portals
I can upgrade and save $10 from the looks of it, but want to be able to read terms and conditions before clicking anything
