I ordered a Fritzbox which took several days to get here due to them stuffing up the order. I received it yesterday, plugged it in, but no joy so called 2degrees again and they logged a fault with Chorus. The Chrous guy fixed it today without needing access to the property so I assume the fault was probably at the roadside cabinet just down the road.
My impression from dealing with 2degrees is that their reps are doing their best but not coping with their workload. Chorus, on the other hand, were very prompt and professional.
It looks like your issue is different. In my issue (the thread above), it wasn't getting to the point of checking the username and password. It never got that far. The authentication request never made it to the Vodafone server, so they couldn't see anything on their RADIUS logs.
In your case it should be straight forward for them to see what your modem is providing when it tries to authenticate.
