Confirmed graemeh, Spark listed the 0800 call as no charge. Good to know.

Spark's Data Casual - Smart Prepaid is $300/GB pro rata after the first 10MB so I have to be very careful with data at the moment.

Good to hear.

I suspect you're looking at a week to fix that sort of damage, perhaps you can convince 2 Degrees to give you a SIM card loaded with their 12GB data package to use in the interim.

It would be nice if they can fix it in a day but they probably need a council permit to dig up the road and traffic management and all that stuff.

graemeh, Ralph et al. they're here! They are going to blow 500m (yes, half a kilometre) of fibre. It may be fixed within hours. That's impressive.

Thank you to everyone for your assistance.

Woo hoo, that is good news and just in time for the weekend.  I thought it would take longer than that to fix the duct, blowing the fibre is the easy bit (when it works).

Great to hear Adam, they must have made some job of it.

I can see our end that you are online and stable for an hour, so all sorted in time for the long weekend.

I can see how it would make sense to reblow the length of the fibre, saves having one or two additional splices potentially grading the light.

Enjoy the weekend everyone!
