A: You really shouldn't use the word Pakeha to describe New Zealand Europeans, even if you don't, many people find it offensive and it could arguably be a FUG violation.

B: When I ring a call centre, I don't care what race colour or creed the person on the other end is, so long as they speak clear, mildly accented English and are helpful. NZ based ones are usually better, but I prefer Filipino call centres to Chinese/Indian ones because I find the accents are usually much milder.

Just to play Devil's Advocate, it's been a bloody long time since "kiwi born and bred" implied "white" :-P

:-) I fully agree. I was just trying to say something non racist to describe the posters description of what I saw as meaning kiwi born and bred

Correct - any general/account queries will be taken only via email from December 4. Technical issues, however, will continue to be taken over the phone or via email (which the team will still get to really quickly so it's a great option if it isn't urgent).

regardless of race, age, creed.... the staff of such call centres need empowering and inspiring leadership.

If you dont have a great leader/coach/mentor who cant manage up just as good as they can manage down....then everything will fail.

Edit, this is the reason why we all cringe when we get bounced knowing full well the said companies left hand isnt speaking properly to their right hand and in turn not speaking to the other hands doing the fire fighting on the public front.
