freitasm:

Yes, there are some programs that are not available in New Zealand.

Also, moved this to correct forum. Please use correct sub-forums or posts will be removed.

I suspect it will be the same as NZ Netflix. Very limited content compared to a US account. I'll stick to my US one.

New Zealand Netflix is actually very well populated comoared to USA and other countries.

You will find Amazon Prime complements Netflix well.

Are you still within your contract terms? or it already finish?

I'm under contract (about half way through), and the only offer I have is APV for $4.99 per month for six months. Is there a site that shows what APV are offering in New Zealand?

The way I read the offer it is  $4.49 for 6 months, not per month and them $8.99 per month after that or am I wrong?

How is it taking for anyone else to get their activation link?

I clicked on the button to renews for 12 months and got the email to say they've received my request and activation link would be layer... But that was about 8 hours ago

Minutes. I expect something is wrong if you don't have it within 8 hours.

All I can find is $2.99 US a month for 6 months and then $5.99 US.
So looks like when paying through 2degrees not saving a great deal if any thing.
Unless something develops I’m just goingto wait until my 6 months is up.
Don’t really like the way they are doing it, giving some customers the free deal and not others.

Hmm can't load Prime Video on either my Freeview AndroidTV device or on my Roku because it is region limited and not available in NZ. Reading the Roku forums that decision is set by Amazon.

Anyone had any luck with it?

Prime Video is available in NZ. If not available in a specific device it is because of validation - like Netflix not being available on Freeview Dish TV A2 recorder.

Just tried this as I saw the offer when I went to pay my bill. Clicked on everything, got a "Your Amazon Prime Video subscription is ready!" with a link - clicked and got are You're not eligible for this page. Thought maybe it was a browser thing, waited for an hour or 2 and tried it again. Now it says the link has expired.

I think the offer is a bit broken.

I had the same thing and had to  all them, they resent the offer and it worked the second time thankfully.

Hey Man - Just checking in with you as i know you've been a Prime Video user for sometime now and at that point you were a 2degrees user (according to your old post). Anyway i signed up for Prime Video via 2Degrees yesterday and resigned for another 12 months and find the service absolutely unusable today. The kids are trying to watch movies and keep getting insufficient bandwidth messages or the lowest resolution which remind me of 56K dialup! Its terrible on our Smart TV's and Apple TV 4K despite getting a few hundred Mbits with a speed test. A traceroute to 208.111.149.249 (which is where my Miktroik shows it's talking) is miles away....

How's your experience been with Prime Video over the past week? - I'll give it a few more days, but might end up ditching it and paying for Netflix again which is a bugger when it's only the kids content we wanted anyway!

Cheers,
Jay

https://www.justwatch.com/nz/provider/amazon-prime-video

I found this, but not too sure how accurate it is.

seems there is no official info, or they have been hidden deep lol. maybe only way to find out is wait till some one can use it free to feed back

I were able to install the App on my smart TV then when it asked about logging in, I canceled that and I could browse around. I couldn't however find a way to browse accessing the service via a web browser on my PC (I hope that helps).
