KiwiSurfer:

SaltyNZ:
Paparangi: If they offer the Kiwi Hero’s discount on this it would be absolutely amazing.
AFAIK the discount is on any plan (but I am not 100% certain!).

I am pretty sure it is not avaliable on any plan. Currently I am on the $30 plan while the cheapest Kiwi Heros plan is $36 (which is a discount off the $40 I believe). Happy to be corrected though as I am a teacher considering moving to a cheaper prepay plan (not neccessairly with 2degrees) and a cheaper deal could encite me to stay on account with 2degrees and keep my carry over data.

Well, when I say 'plan' I mean 'postpay plan' not prepay. But anyway - it's not my area so I could be wrong. :-)

Riggleby:

Wonder if they've migrated customers from the old Max plan to this one... There didn't used to be any sort of systems in place that tracked usage against the fair usage policy - I know for a fact that there used to be at least one customer that was using over 200GB a month for a large period of time and no-one ever picked up or did anything about it.

Oh, we notice. But we have tried to be nice about it.

Yabanize:

1mbps "offers plenty of juice for normal smart phone use, including music and videos." not sure how I feel about that statement.

So the 40GB is shared between the 4 people?

Some people might be living alone and don't have fast internet needs etc .. . Unlimited mobile plan, practically after 40GB for the month as a single person could they watch TVNZ on demand for instance?  Hmmmm..

When I've gone over on the spark unlimited plan, continued watching TVNZ OD and lightbox with no problem at all,

Tending to use mobile alot more now due the unlimited plans (now this is spark, but would love to see them look to increasing the 22GB to match or pass 2D)

Well done team 2D :)

I assume there’s no way to add a tablet to this without paying for a full extra connection?

Correct. You can share data to a tablet for free from a regular (limited) plan, but the unlimited plan requires a full connection.

So data share continues to operate, but rollover data is gone because it’s an invalid option. Can each full connection have its own MRO?

The regular plans (e.g. $55/10GB or $70/25GB) are unchanged, and still have carryover data. You can buy them and share their data for free with up to 5 other 2degrees connections. The only stipulation is that those connections cannot be unlimited plans (because if they were, they wouldn't need to receive shared data in the first place).

The new unlimited plan cannot share. You must purchase another unlimited plan for every connection you want to have unlimited data. The price per connection decreases when you do.

I believe that multiple postpay connections on the same account can each their own individual MROs but that is outside my area so I could be talking rubbish there.

Not quite what the website says.

https://help.2degreesmobile.co.nz/app/answers/detail/a_id/368

Excludes Max, Business Connect & Assure plans.

Maybe old news but I’d like to know as I’m thinking about moving 2x$70 plans to the unlimited plan but use shared data

Is it true that 6 people can join the unlimited group plan. On the website it says 4 people on the Pay Monthly page but on their news and media releases it says 6 people

It's max 4 to bring the price down to $40 each per connection you could connect 6 under 1 account but it would still be $40 per connection

Plan pricing isn't really my area but it does indeed appear to say that on the website so I guess it must be. :-)

VFNZ unlimited is $80 + $20 per person red share so 3 more people = $80 + 60 = $140 so $35/person plus you get free Netflix.
