Thanks dt, Found the promo link. It doesn't display iPhone XR 64GB Black on the list. It is an in-store only offer so I will call tomorrow to find out.

Linux: You need to wait 3 months before asking for plan change

Since when? SCP only limits a plan change to once a month, and any staff member with access to Siebel can change a plan as many times as they want with nothing preventing it from going through. And the chances of getting a store staff member that knows the business rule about one change per month are almost non-existent.

Exactly this. And it’s not one month but once per billing cycle so you could change plan the day before your bill date, then the next day change again because you’re in a new cycle. Very flexible.

@tardtasticx @Riggleby If you get a handset on Interest free term you need to remain on the same plan for minimum of 3 months!

Happy for someone to correct me if I am wrong!

I refer you back to my comment about the chances of a store staff member even knowing (or caring enough) about the once per billing cycle business rule. There’s no system in place to actually manage it, despite what the T&C’s say.

"New customers only".  So being on Prepay Im not a new customer I guess so not eligible for that deal.

That is indeed correct. Existing 2degrees pre-pay is eligible as I have asked/emailed 2 PB Tech stores in Auckland.

It seems like Vodafone and Sparks are discounting iPhone XR by $400 on their $59.99+ plans. I'm keen to stick with 2degrees because I like the rollover data that I can accumulate.

PB Tech with $200 off for the phone with 2degrees ($40 plan) is by far the best suited for me. Hopefully PB Tech isn't a nightmare to deal with should there be any issues arises with the phone itself?

As long as the phone they provide you is from the 2degrees supplier (BrightStar), you can just deal with any future warranty claims at a 2degrees store. You don’t even need to go in with a receipt - they can look up the wholesale supply certificate (again provided it’s 2degrees-supplied).
