I think it was more on the domestic side of things, perhaps a major Vocus Auckland PoP outage.

Mine was down too for a good few mins until it completely went out after reset, but seems to be good now.

 

I get that issues happen from time to time, but seriously tho if this happens when Destiny 2 Shadowkeep drops at 6am, way to ruin a day.

mine too however Bungie screwed up the Destiny 2 Shadowkeep launch all in their own.
