I don't know, sorry. I don't work in the RAN area - a ticket has been logged about this issue, but I don't know exactly what they may have done. It's still active (not resolved) so whatever they have done, they don't think they've fixed it yet at least.

Just a follow up - we believe this is now resolved. After much searching, we found an interface in the core misconfigured to the wrong speed that was congesting everyone.

Thanks for the follow up. Although after about 5 days since the RBI randomly stopped altogether it still wasn't connecting at all (would only show Profile Invalid, even after factory reset etc) and with no updates from 2degrees had to make the call and send the modem back while it was still within the cancellation period.

In the meantime a Huawei E3372h-607 I ordered arrived and I've been using it with a 2degrees mobile SIM on data-sharing with FritzBox 7490 & external antenna getting similar / greater performance to 4G mobile (25-35Mbps) but obviously limited data.

I also managed to get my hands on a Ubiquiti NanoStation Loco M2 so I can connect through a local WISP connection which provides unlimited data but unfortunately max's out at 30/6Mbps - so mostly better for downloading...
