Going by the responses in that thread it's unlikely there will be any short term resolution unless there are significant network policy changes (at either end). It seems without a transit arrangement onwards from Sydney the only way to reach that Apex Legends Singapore server without going via North America is to peer with SingTel (AS7473) or Tata (AS6453) both are big players who would not peer with 2degrees NZ a provider that doesn't hold a stake in submarine cables out of Australia or in the Asia Pacific region.

Just to be clear there are two separate issues

 

1. Traffic from TPG connected services in Au coming to 2d network via US - This is deemed a fault and will be resolved ASAP.

 

2. Apex Legends not peering local in Singapore, needing new transit arrangements - Longer process, but being worked on as well.
