I remember the days when 2degrees brought innovative, market leading products and prices. Props to them for adding to their range of services but this isn't the usual value 2degrees is known for (even after it's been upped to 300gb) IMO.

And what's with "note on 9 March 2021 we increased the data allowance on this plan to 300GB, but we have not changed the 120GB plan name"? And having to call to find out if you're in the coverage area? And $299 for the modem on open term?

Like not to be super negative but what's the upside here and who is this targeting?

@morganbrowne - Can one use their own device for the new Wireless Broadband service?
Which I assume then simply a sim card is provided?

Hiya, at this stage, no. The 4G devices are specifically configured for our network and the SIMs are assigned to the device we give for this at this time.

Cheers

Thanks

Thanks for the feedback, will pass it onto the product team.

Re your question of who this is targeting - this is a soft launch. We're not currently supporting this offer in any campaign or advertising. As many companies (and us) often do, we see what the direct opportunities are and who is searching for products and meet the need for these initially. This will change in future but at this stage it's a very new product for us and it'll be rolled out slowly, likely with new offers and options available later.

Cheers,
