heavenlywild: I'm having issues receiving and making calls since this.

I either don't receive a call notification or when I dial it doesn't dial.

Often when I call I need to call multiple times for it to connect.

@heavenlywild not my experience what phone are you using?

I have the Note 9.

The neighbours seem to have similar issues.

I have a Nokia 3.4.  About 3 days ago I got a system update that took me from Android 10 to 11.  I noticed the VOLTE icon in place where the 4G icon was, this morning.  I am near Kerikeri.  2D dont list my phone as VOLTE-supported.  I am assuming I have VOLTE enabled (or at least my phone thinks so).

I've had to return off 4G and return to 3G/2G only to reliably receive and make phone calls.

I gave 2D a call to report the issue.

That's actually really big news. Huge in fact. Nokia is not on the supported list as per 2degrees compatibility page.

Hope it works/isn't buggy.

I had to turn WiFi calling back on, because weird things were happening with my S10 and you can't manually toggle VoLTE on/off. Calls would drop and after attempting a call the little 2D man tells me it's having trouble reaching that number. While signal is weak here, VoLTE sometimes turns on and sometimes turns off. Sadly it's unusable from here.

Interesting, it sounds like 2D still have some work to do.

I am based in Auckland. Where in the country are you experiencing this?

Mairangi Bay, North Shore, Auckland. Nearest cellsite is Pinehill I believe, but we're not quite line of site.

The main thing that impacts VoLTE is 3G coverage seems to have priority over 4G coverage when it should be around the other way

2degrees VoLTE working in Manukau area. From this and other comments in this thread, I guess it's been switched on for all the Auckand (6100x) TACs -- i.e. including as far south as Bombay/Pukekohe/Waiuku.  Voice calls now operating over 4G without needing to drop down to 3G.

Yeah sitting outside Middlemore ED and can confirm VoLTE is showing on my Galaxy S9+ - wouldn't have noticed with the lockdown if I hadn't left the house!

Have only previously gotten VoLTE earlier this year up around Warkworth.

Does anyone know if calls can seamlessly 'roam' from wifi calling to VoLTE, or is that still a scenario where you have to turn off wifi before calling if you think there's a chance you'll have to leave the house (e.g. long phone calls, waiting on hold etc)?
