Hmm it indeed failed to call over WIFI, good to know i guess.
I'd have to check the logs on my router to make sure nothing is being blocked, but a strange limitation nonetheless.

99% of cases you do not need to forward any ports. It would just work out of the box.

Interesting that a Motorola worked, and that's definitely not on the 2degrees supported list. This would imply that their VoWiFi doesn't explicitly reject phones not on their supported list, which is what I had suspected. Haven't found any way I can convince the 1+ to work though!
Since I need this to support our new copperless configuration, I will have to go with a phone off the supported list - anything else is too risky. It's looking like my first Samsung.
Meanwhile, just got starlink running. Impressed so far - everything should be this easy to install. Have seen 200mbs, but more typically a bit over 100.

Like I say to everyone. Especially if you’re running a OnePlus don’t rule out your first iPhone either as from a software point of view they’re seriously top notch and I rate them over Samsung in that price point due to their CPU’s and hardware being quite ahead of the competition. My old iPhone 6S is still on the latest version of iOS (a 7 year old phone) which you will never find on any Android phone. These support VoLTE and VoWiFi flawlessly.
