As per previous messages up the line, without some details of what server/ip address your trying to hit, the general comment isn't of much value. Can you provide outputs of Pings/Trace Routes etc so the team at 2d can investigate.

Based on the supplied IP, this is going via singapore to to Australia, is this the right iP? 2d peer with providers in Australia to access Singapore game servers.

you can see it goes through Australia though, both sydney and perth, so there is an issue somewhere with Atlas.cogentco not routing traffic to that ip in australia

Been having the same issue, exactly as you described - 60-80ms increased latency to all US-based games. Contacted 2degrees support to no avail.

Remember, routing is best effort for all providers. There are hundreds of threads on Geekzone covering all ISP's with the same problems. You just need to be patient with routing changes as often there is a good reason why they happened in the first place - could well be a fibre cut for example.

Logging faults with the call centre is the way to go but even still it won't help. At the end of the day you've still got connectivity to the US even if it takes a little longer to reach its destination...

You're completely right.

But, in conjunction, we also need performance figures to be regularly published so that ISP's are held accountable for their choices.

Metrics such as ping, transfer rates, jitter, for foreign and domestic, peak/off peak.

It's usually less than 200ms for me and it's currently over 300ms.

I'm also getting higher ping to US apex servers. Unfortunately don't know the IPs, doesn't seem to be publicly available and I don't normally ping servers unless I see the ping rise and stay there in game -_-

Ill guess that this link fault is still an ongoing issue (or hoping so at least!) as I haven't been able to play with my US mates from how terrible the ping is.
