Yeah I'll try the official route (I dont lurk here enough to know anyone at 2D anyway :P )

CG-NAT was one of those things 2D thrust upon us around the time Vocus took over I think. I'm not running torrents I'm just trying to do my job during the day which unfortunately requires interacting with many v4 endpoints.

If I cannot make traction today I'll probably end up using your referral code to Quic - they look like they're pretty onto it.

Glad you managed to get it sorted. Offtopic, but I'm pretty sure 2degrees took over Vocus NZ/Vocus merged into 2degrees? Anyway, when that happened we somehow managed to keep our 'dynamic' IPv4 (it's pretty much static) and no CGNAT.

Incase anyone runs into this; I think @michaelmurfy was correct - got a static IP set and can no longer reproduce the problem

Hopefully it was free. If not, I’d get hunting. This has been a pretty long standing problem with 2degrees CG-NAT and there are other options out there.

Many of us were not happy when CG-NAT was introduced with no opportunity to even get a public IP unless if you pay for a static. IMHO this is one of those cases where a product isn’t working as designed.

The other ISP’s in NZ that use CG-NAT also allow for a public IP.
